HONEY OAT WHEAT BREAD by Jerry Dawes - Wenatchee Recipe

Combine these ingredients and set aside.
 
7 Cups WHOLE WHEAT FLOUR
3 Cups ROLLED OATS
2 Cups WHEAT GERM
2 Cups GLUTEN FLOUR
1 1/2 Tablespoons SALT
8 Teaspoons Red Star DRY YEAST
2/3 Cup FLAX SEED MEAL


Cook the following for about 2 minutes:

2/3 Cup ZOOM WHEAT CEREAL (a hot cereal)
2/3 Cup Instant MASHED POTATO FLAKES
2 Cups WATER

 Add to the cooked mixture:

3/4 Cup HONEY
1/3 Cup OLIVE OIL
4 Cups Hot WATER

Mix everything together and knead for 10 minutes.

For RAISIN BREAD, add 2/3 Cup of RAISINS per loaf.

Divide into 4 equal pieces, shape into a loaf and place into loaf pans that have been sprayed with PAM.  Cover and let raise until doubled or more.

Bake at 350 for 24 minutes.

This makes 4 1lb. loaves.
