What is CHIP?

The Coronary Health Improvement Project, CHIP, is a community-based, lifestyle modification and motivation program.  CHIP guides participants on a 30-day, health enhancing journey that produces phenomenal results. Graduates are amazed at their personal achievement in health through simple lifestyle adjustments.

Free Information Sessions
An opportunity to learn about the program, register and sign up for Heart Screen #1.
 
Heart Screen #1  (Before you start CHIP)
Includes a review of medications, fasting lipid profile and blood sugar, lifestyle assessment, height, weight, blood pressure, and a heart-healthy breakfast.
 
16 Video-CHIP Lectures
Classes meet four days a week for four weeks.  Hans Diehl, DrHSc, MPH, FACN, is the dynamic lecturer in this compelling video series complete with superb graphics, illustrations and humorous stories.   Presentations by local Health Care Professionals & CHIP Volunteers provide for live interaction, answers to questions, heart-healthy recipe samples and lots of fun.   Participants receive class materials, recipes and a CHIP carry-all bag and water bottle.
 
Heart Screen #2  (After 30 days)
Measures the changes in lifestyle, clinical out-  comes and medications over the 30-day period.
 
Graduation
A celebration of progress with a special meal, diploma and CHIP pin.  Friends and family are welcome!
 
Alumni Organization 
Meets on a regular basis for learning,   inspiration   and encouragement.
